Boe-Bot
Unit 4 was a very interesting unit, I learnt various things such as programming robots and giving them commands. However, I received a robot that is supposed to do commands when it is told.T he robot basically has two wheels which run on the motor and 3rd is at the front which doesn't run on motor. The software that the robot needs in order to do commands is called "Basic Stamp". The first task consisted of viewing the servo motors on the robot and installing the LEDs. The second task I had to do was to test the servo motors P12 was the left side wheel and P13 was right side wheel. During this next assignment I was given a chart which had various numbers, since each robot was programmed differently I had to test each number in the P13 and P12 column to see what each wheel does. The third task was basically testing the robot for its speed and the slow down rate. The last task we had to do was commanding the robot to go in a 'S' pattern. I was actually pretty easy to make the 'S' patterns considering all the practicing assignments we had to do. Overall learning how to program robot's was a very good opportunity for me to understand some new and different
