PC Design and Specification
In this other assignment, I was given a price limit of $1500.00 to purchase all the parts I would need to build my own PC. What I learned in this assignment is that building our own PC isn't that hard, once you research all the different parts you need and once you know that they will work together and fit in the same case, everything is easy from there. This assignment gave me some engineering knowledge that I should know for future needs. Some things I learnt in this assignment was researching what my PC was going to be for. For example if my PC was going to be for gaming, I would buy a gaming mother board, buy ram with high ghz, buy the right video card and more. The main concepts I studied in this assignment was the specification of PC Products. Specifications are description or measurement such as size, speed, and other information about the technical device such as a computer. What I learnt was Bits and bytes both measure amounts of data. However, they are typically used in two different contexts. It is important to know that bytes are abbreviated with a capital B, where as bits use a lowercase b. Therefore, Mbps is megabits per second, and MBps is megabytes per second. So 8Mbps is equal to 1MBps.
This picture shows the measurements of Bits and bytes and the conversion of each
